#23 Harrison Jones

Its a strategic game …. if a key forward is dominating, dragging the other key back away is clearly a tactic that makes life easier for that dominate forward, whilst also creating space for him to lead into, not to mention space for the crumbers.

Also, creates a taller target around the flanks & wings.

So yes, we need that at times. If Jones can kick goals & take marks inside 50 … bonus

It appears that blitz has declared war on the Jones boy.

The whole ‘rehab’ group are there.
It’s the only people who the S&C staff can speak to at the moment.

I don’t think it’s every day. It’s probably adhoc. Sometimes morning, sometimes afternoon.

FCS Whats the problem. Its only a 1 years deal.
I think he showed enough in his first year to be given another, especially given the situation with the Weid and the fact that he had injuries that are typical with young talls.

I doubt he’d be doing heavy lifting with a back stress fracture.

I am ok with that if we think Langford can play 2nd to Wright in a contending team.

Don’t they both just upgraded from the rookie list?
So no rush?

Glad he signed on, he needs injury free run at it, gain confidence in his body and he will be up there again

Really hoping they give Hunter a go early next season, looks like more of a lead up forward compared to Harry.

I know it’s early but I think with a big preseason Hunter could fit that role.

Agree. Although the sample size was small, from what we saw he looked promising.

I’m all in on Hunter he kicked 28 goals in 8 games across the wafl and vfl.
That’s a great performance average of 3.5 goals a game we haven’t had a forward get anywhere close to those numbers over the past few years.
He just has to be kept.

Is he the new towel boy?

with only a one year deal its make or break it time with Harrison.

lots of competition now with Weid, Langford, Stringer, Hunter and Voss and maybe Reid.

Whats with the talk about jones lifestyle? Is it a case of likes a beer too much or doesnt train hard enough or both?

A few weeks ago at lunchtime I saw Harry on Collins St opposite Southern Cross station and can confirm that he wasn’t drinking,

Its entirely speculation and rumour. Who knows if any of it is true.

Don’t know if it’s harder or easier to hear about the partyboys v the footballers v athletes v etc.

Think I’ll just go on with zero expectations (2023 finally!!!) of this footy club and be happy if something different happens.
