What was the whole pazza/fireball/bovril thing about?
No contest. Nothing is ever beating this.
The pazza and fire bit was about how he was privy to so much secret club information that he only passed on 20% of whatever came across his desk. Ironic, that someone in his job at the time wouldnât have a desk. Iâm not sure what the fire bit was about. Did he claim to have been a fireman or someone close to him was?
Not sure the Bovril had any connection.
Didnât Pazza once claim to put out a fire at work?
Also, the poster that was a Mal Pascoe(?) fan but had the incorrect jumper number in his profile?

Nah, it was something about being in the CFA and putting out car fires. There was some sort of humble-brag about putting out a ball of fire with just a little bit of water and rescuing people trapped in burning cars which instantly turned into memes of pazza with a bottle of water facing down a towering inferno. It was a little bit âyou werenât in 'Nam so youâll never understandâ and a whole lot weird. If we had the AI image generator back then it would have been a bloodbath.
Couldnât fault his passion for the Bombers though.

And the Mal Pascoe No.32 thread is still my all time favourite. When the number error was pointed out to him it was like the scene in Simpsons where Lisa breaks Ralph Wiggumâs heart and Bart keeps rewinding the video so she would see the precise moment it happens. It was brutal, beautiful and hilarious all at the same time.

I think the key to Jones will be finding a role that he is suited. That is not as a centre half forward who crashes packs and stands under the ball with physical presence. Heâs just not built for that.
Iâd like to see him given the Tom Lynch Crows role, when he was running deep into the backline for the outlet kick and creating transitions. Jones also showed an appetite to chase, tackle and put on defensive pressure with multiple efforts.
Every now and again heâll float in front of a pack Royce Hart style to mark, but that should be seen as a bonus, not his main game.
I hope he can get fit cos he definiely showed something a couple of years ago.
Caddy coming in looks perfect for what we need and also in allowing Jones to play a role that he is suited.
Feeling optimistic.

2021 has been his best season so far. Then I felt he played the role of marking target. I wouldnât say he crashed packs but he took pack marks.
