Leave roberts back move Martin to the wing and have Duursma and Martin as the wings and move jones to the vfl

Jonesās performances in his first (uninjured) year of footy were probably better than Caddyās have been this year - and thatās not a criticism of Caddy.
We havenāt been able to develop talent worth a damn for 15 years. We could very easily ruin Caddy too.

Jones averages 9/10 possessions a game and Draper is sometimes very good sometimes hopeless/a goose
Also, get Martin back as an attackingc winger. Get Duursma fit and not getting injured on the other wing. Durham doing midfield and wing rotations.
Then we can put Jones and Cox back to the VFL where they belong

he seems to have more of a defensive streak in his game than offensive, so with the shitshow lav was producing and your reluctance to play hayes, i wonder why jones wasnāt tried down back, couldnāt have been any worse than laverde and cox.
heās not a forward, and heās not a wingman. he prolly shouldnāt even be on the list next year, but thereās so many that need to be culled he prolly stays cos of that fact.

Iām serious, we all need to ask this question. I know itās unlikely and a part of me thinks that once youāre essingtoned, youāre beyond repair.
Weāve all seen itā¦how many times, now? Young kid shows a bit, stagnates for the next few years, treads water for 5 years before falling off a cliff and then finally retires years too late at the ripe old age of 30. Is this the case for Jones or would that be jumping the gun?
He was promising in 2021. Injuries havenāt helped but he needs to show more. A lot of players have things come together with continuity. Iād give him one more year, give him every chance and hope that he becomes a beneficiary of our improving off field standards.
Man, I wish Essendon wasnāt a place where talent is wasted to the point where it cannot be restored.
