So the last 100 posts I’ve trawled through is about Jones giving Cox a scalp massage and it’s being claimed this is relevant to football and lifestyle standards. Is that correct?

Fair enough, but it was a different situation. We had just lost a game vs BrisVegas, and he was smiling, and my son-in-law was gloating as we left the ground.

I was out of line, and apologised to Franga who had no memory of it.

I dont know why anyone would give a toss about this either way, if they’re actually being affectionate with each other because they’re not heterosexual males, that certainly doesn’t stop them from being tough and hard working. Danni Laidley was one of the toughest players i can remember. Adam Heuskes wasnt soft either.

I dont reckon Jones necessarily has a workrate or courage issue, its just that he isnt that great, hell his foot almost fell clean off last time he played and hes at least trying to get back

Most of us who cleaned up in the music scene are worse sober . I certainly had some moments when touring I’d rather forget in the 90s and early 00s. I barely even drink when playing a gig these days

We never made it big enough to tour but playing in the Adelaide pub scene basically came with an open rider.

I was actually a booze only type operator until after my time playing

Pub scene was the best. Although later on I ended up playing BNS balls all over Australia that was an eye opener. It’s sad when you get paid less now for cover gigs than 30 years ago. Govt beer tax killed us
