#23 - Harrison Jones

Or some seriously closeted yet curious undertones…

The final straw in any Blitz argument is referring to AFL circles.

I think the correct phrasing is, ā€œJones likes to massage big Coxā€.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Iirc after his initial injury we were discussing how common a dislocation with no fracture was.
Had one at work this morning - poor person fell getting off their boat while it was on a trailer, got their foot caught in the ladder and basically had a traction dislocation (they said they were hanging in the air by their ankle).
This was second week of December, and they’ve got at least 6 more weeks in a cam boot (3 months in total for some sort of modified weight bearing status).

I don’t see Jones making it as a forward or a winger. But he has that contract.

I think we should play him in defence this year in the VFL.

Maybe he finds it works for him.

At least he would offer depth in three zones whilst his contract ticks down.

Like a Jack Silvangi type. Jack of all trades, master of none

Just delist him, was no need for the contract. Admit your mistake and move on

Swap him and Kayle. Big KG is wasted back there and he looked a good sort down fwd when I saw him live

DELIST. He is no good.

If you guys would have listened to me, we would have dropped this guy and Cox two years ago

Yup. He can get a job as social media manager.

I don’t understand this point of view - he is a forward. he is either good enough in that position, or he aint. If he isnt, then move on.

I would strongly suggest he is not good enough. so move on (pay him out, free up the list spot)

He’s 100-1 to continue a serious AFL career after this contract ends, so it’s more about how he fits around everyone else.

I’d much rather we find out more about Day-Wicks, McMahon, Edwards in the VFL by giving them the forward spots and that means Jones fits somewhere else.

He is a victim of his own poor habits (used to be a massive party boy and I mean an absolute fiend), the clubs lack of development for players and also our past S&C team royally farking him over by inuring him doing ridiculous strength testing.

Still, I think he is mostly to blame by throwing his talent away staying out late and getting on the ā– ā– ā– ā–  all the time.

McMahon was atrocious today. He gives up the second he isnt in the contest. Easiest delistong at the club

His 2 year deal is up there as one of the dumbest contracts we have given out in some time

He was injured early.

Out of interest, what do you reckon he’s getting paid for his 5 touches at VFL level?

$400k a year?

Yeah I reckon around 400k, might a bit more with match bonuses etc

We could save around $400k by doing the right thing.
