#24 Nick Bryan - ACL recovery thru 2025

These two (our rucks) dont know where to run to or place themselves to get a mark.
Jones is a also horrendous at this for a tall forward. I don’t know what his numbers are but he must average like 2 marks a game

I like Bryan but am still not a fan of playing two rucks.

Would rather bring in Stewart or Baldwin as a third tall forward and have Wright give Draper a chop out when needed.

He was kaka

What a ridiculous comparison

Jackson has been, and will continue to be, mentored by and has developed alongside one of the best rucks in the entire competition surrounded by an experienced midfield

Bryan has Draper, who has played 34 games

I think he’ll make it to. But not ready for AFL yet.

Can see why (if true) we’ve given a contract offer to Marshall.

Really need to sort out that third tall / second ruck spot to go along with Draper.

Still not sold on Bryan and Draper being the best complements to eachother

Philips should have stayed in

20 if you include Draper, besides one or two games he’s been garbage for the most part

Although he was listed as ‘managed’ - whatever that means

Some good work from Bryan but still a lot to work on. Really needs to try to find a team mate when kicking forward rather than just hacking it as he did most times.
He’s a keeper for now & hope he continues to improve.

Unless Bryan goes out and punches someone or shelves something he’s not getting delisted. Epitome of a project ruck

He has a long way to go…i think he’ll be a player, but not for another year or two. I would play Stewart instead if one of the reasons is to have forward options

You are rewriting history there.

Jackson was rated as a standout Ruck talent and one the best talents in the whole draft. That’s why he went pick 3.

I agree about what is said about jackson just only putting out the difference in developement why not play him every chance we get to build confidence and synergy we the midfield group phillips should only play if an injury occurs

He’s not even close to being up to it. Years away like Draper.
Disco needs to take responsibility for how poor we are in the ruck.

He’s 20 years old. Keep getting games into him.

I agree with the angry sauce bottle.

It was his first game in the AFL for a while.

Langford was average- better for the run
Snelling average - better for the run
Stringer last week - better for the run
Jones - getting better chemistry
Etc, etc

Bryan did enough, halved his ruck contests, followed up well being a hand ball option. Restricted the opposition with tackling pressure.

Does he have a lot to work on? Yes
Are we pushing for finals? No

I thought Bryan was better than Draper last night.

If we did play McBride as backup ruck then would have helped with Ridley injury.
would just push Kelly to small defender and then play tall when McBride relief rucks.

I’m keen on getting a look at McBride before his contract is finished at least for a match.
