#24 Nick Bryan - ACL recovery thru 2025

Let’s not kid ourselves and act like we’re losing anything by playing Bryan over Phillips. Phillips in his last 3 games has had a total 6,6 and 7 touches to go with his 6 marks. He hasn’t had more than 12 touches in any game this year and has only kicked 2 goals all season.

Bryan’s stats read similar, one is 30 and the other 20 it’s a no brainer who should be playing.

that’s no excuse. He could easily run into the stands and lay him out

I thought Campbell clearly beat him last week as well.

We could play someone else as second ruck beyond those two.

There’s really no one else other than pinch hitting Wright in there but he’s far too valuable as a forward.

They won’t play Jones there, especially since he’s just back from injury.

Other options? Stewart? No thanks, give some game time to Bryan.

You’d think 2MP was the second coming of Coleman when you hear some talk about how he can’t be taken from the forward line, even for 5 mins a quarter. The guy just came off a month long goalless streak. And we kicking to him far too often as it is. Would be good to get a look at some other forward options like Baldwin.

The reality is that Phillips contributes next to nothing as a forward, and Bryan is even less effective again. We need another specialist forward up there, and we have a perfectly capable relief ruckman in 2MP.

Laverde left his man for no reason then.

Not about Wright being the second coming of Coleman, it means when he’s rucking Jones is the only Key forward down there getting double teamed, it leaves us undermanned. Give me another gun key forward and then yea sure play Wright in the ruck for a bit each quarter. As it stands he’s a full time forward and rightly so.

McBride or Wright

Yea I’m going Bryan over a guy that’ll most likely be delisted this year

Wrights had 6 shots on goal in 1 and half quarters, too valuable as a key forward and leaves Jones as the only legit KPF

Virtually playing with 21 men including Bryan in the side.

Just not competing around the ground enough, needs to realise his job does not end with a ctr bounce.

He’s a long way off it unfortunately. Giving him full ruck minutes in the VFL is the right development for him imo. Still very young, needs add some physicality to his game if he wants to take the next step.

Needs to start showing something real soon

He only played 60% game time. Suggests he wasn’t the right selection. Still have confidence he will be a player.

Funny thing is Jackson from melbourne is the same draft only rated a little bit better melbourne continually play him essendon just stick em in the twos and fail to show faith

Had more tackles than any other ruck on the ground and equal most possessions of any ruck… worst rucks in the league on display tonight

Jackson was rated a lot higher than Bryan. Pick 3 vs pick 38.

Not in some peoples views was only rated higher due to playing wafl against men but pointing out the difference of developement and confidence between the twio clubs both future rucks both developing teams one sits in the teos the other is told he is part of the future and played in the ones

0 marks combined
Not good enough from both ruckman

I thought we looked better with him at centre bounces tonight.

He is a good tap ruckman, and he’s useful at ground level around the stoppage.

But that’s about it, atm. He still has a lot of development to do. Most skinny rucks his age, do.

He’ll be good, but not for a while.
