#24 Nick Bryan - instigating mêlées til 2025

Do you want him to get injured?

As long as the club doesn’t offer him a long term contract he should be fine

I reckon this guy can football.

Hopefully he has a break out year where he can replace Draper if he goes

I’m very optimistic. He’s shown he’s a class above VFL football. If he goes anywhere near replicating his VFL number in the seniors, we will have a serious player on our hands.

Can’t take a contested mark and can’t run out a game…….fairly useless until he can……

Please do not mention Draper going again if you don’t mind. It is very depressing for some of us.

I don’t think he will

I’m hopeful that they develop as a combo that allows us to dominate the ruck for 120 minutes every game, while still providing a key target up forward.

He’s gonna be in for a big year watching old Goldy get first ruck dibs…

When is Bryan contracted until? Is it this year or end of next?

I’m fairly certain Draper, Byran, Goldy and even Vigo are out of contract

Hard to see Vigo getting pinched, but we could be left with only our ■■■■ in our hand if Bryan and Draper go.

There is no possible way that both go. Whichever ruckman that remains, in the hypothetical that one did indeed leave, would be at the best club in the league for opportunity to play each and every week as the number one ruckman.

Best 22…

Finished the game very strong. Draper and him together will work.

Yep, absolutely stood up in the last 10 min and showed great composure, excellent signs.

His marking around the ground in the last qtr was so impressive.
Nice to have a reliable target that can hang onto them.

Geelong have no rucks. Bryan took good advantage of that, like you’d want him to.

His marking was good…and his short kicking is great for a ruck.

I feel like the Cats got back into the game in the 2nd quarter on the back of midfield dominance, courtesy of Draper having a rest and Bryan getting a run. What I liked about his performance is that once he picked up the speed of the game his ruck work improved to the point where he was on top, and his around the ground work complimented it nicely. I think there’ll be times this year when an experienced ruckman might get a hold of him, but let’s get him 20 games this season and see what that does for him. Could be something pretty special.
