#24 Nick Bryan - instigating mêlées til 2025

Trade request incoming.

Probable, likely even. If it happens, heads need to roll.

We keep playing hacks and sign average players to long term deals yet refuse to play players with obvious upside

Can see why we stuck with that young Goldy kid for most of the year…

Clean skills for a big bloke. Still only 22, too (23 in a couple of months).

Brad, if he doesn’t play 23 games next year you can ■■■■ off.

Should have played more games this year … cleary wasn’t domination the VFL to warrant earlier selection lol

It’s an insult because he shouldn’t have been playing there.

Watching big meek tonight shows that bryza needs to get fitter and stronger

Should’ve been this way from round 1 2024.

Scott is pathetic, so I wouldn’t even rule out goldy getting priority in 2025

Part of his ability to come in and play well was his VFL consistency as a No 1 ruck. You can’t say Scott sucks because he didn’t play him when his ability to play well could very much have been the extra VFL time. He has cemented his spot as second ruck, needs a big preseason to go after Draper for the number one spot.

I hope we play two rucks and one KPF next year.

Goldy was fit at the back end of this year and Bryan was still picked ahead of him. Goldy was playing VFL till he got injured. I think Bryan ruck with Draper at FF will be the go round 1 .

His ability to come in and play could very much have been the extra VFL time. Or he could be better now with an extra 20 AFL games under his belt this year. We can’t know either way, but we do know that his VFL form barely fluctuated for the better part of two years. Arguably longer.

I’m not saying he’s going to be a superstar, that he would have been the AA ruck this year if not for the gross negligence of the selection panel or whatever. I wouldn’t try to make the case that we have been denied peak Dean Cox or something.

But for a team that’s been absolutely ■■■■■■■ nowhere for the last three years to prefer ruckmen with no long term prospects over him, gee you’d want to be sure that playing him in the AFL would have been actively harmful to his development for it to be the best plan of action.

Haven’t heard his name in trade circle talks of recent weeks, hopefully that last month of opportunity be enough to have him want to stick around.

Get a grip everyone he’s 22 and will be 23 in 2025.

He has a huge runway ahead of him and the VFL experience has ensured he has paid his dues. His durability seems pretty good, and he seems to be on a steady solid albeit gradual upward trajectory.

I think the future is very promising
