I find it strange he is being played ahead of Hayes. I thought he was being brought in as a backup due to constant back 6 injuries, not as a main player.

We really do lack for a decent medium sized defender. You look at who wasnāt picked today, there isnāt much else. Youāre looking at playing a pure tall, or a guy like Lav who is an undersized key defender.

Too soft and unreliable. There might be a decent player inside him but weāre never going to see it unless he develops some composure and a bit of steel.
Shouldnāt play. And Redman, for other reasons, is looking pretty shaky also. I donāt see the club doing anything about it, because they never do.

Decent kick but has very little intensity nor defensive awareness. In an already immobile backline, he doesnāt seem like a good fit.
If I was an AFL forward and I saw this bloke coming to man me I would be sooo happy inside. He does the opposite of making life hard for his opponents

Probably not his fault. He just seems the timid type. Donāt know if you can change that. The coaches should know better, though.
I donāt know, I kinda like watching him look like a power ranger baddie just doing little random shuffles and circling the same 5m circle in the most useless space trying to be an option from a kick in, or doing the same power ranger baddie style shuffle trying to suss out his positioning in a marking contest before the kick comes in. Needless to say, doesnāt get to the right spot or impact things at all.

Heās just not good enough. A level below being an AwFuL footballer. No shame in thatā¦ heās just not it.
His Dad was similarly not quite up to it (too good for twos, not good enough for ones). Played with more heart though.
Thereās no way he deserves to be a walk-up start.
