Geoff Pryor- great memories- always had the stick on Baldock.

Younger the El Hawli, pretty much exactly Durham’s age. So could still have a bit of growth in his game.

She is a model, so iam surprised that they have said he lacks confidence

Watching the highlights he seem an OK player. Plays tall, smooth mover, neat kick.

Well said

It would be great if Prior can make us a better team and improve our 22.

But we’re stuck on the mediocre merry go round if we keep topping up our 22 with players who aren’t good enough for the comp’s best 22s.

he has probably been kept out of the Lions Premiership team by Zorko and then any of Lester, Coleman, McKenna and Starcevich. Will be a definite upgrade on Heppell and Kelly.

Could be an astute pickup. Yes he is fringe, but in a premiership team. Looks pretty good defensively, and has a nice raking left foot.

I think injuries had a lot to do with the decline of those players, look a Heffernan in 2000 highlights regularly kicks it 50m, when he came back to us a few years later couldn’t kick over 40m was absolutely his limit.

Injuries definitely were a factor. Especially when they came back to us.
But they weren’t when they went to their other teams.
When you’re an average player in a great team, you can look pretty good playing your defined role.
Add the same player into a rabble of a team and they pretty much have to do more and expose more of their weaknesses.
By the time we got them back, they were already broken.

The fact he doesn’t run in ever diminishing circles means he is an improvement on Hind.

Took a long time, but apparently Prior has recovered from injury and is ready to play good footy.

Yes, and I’m sure Hawthorn are kicking themselves from poaching a player that couldn’t crack in to our mediocre 22.
