I’ve very much been team give Chook another year but I’m done after tonight. It looked like a 1998 Mitsubishi Challenger going up against a 1992 Pajero today. Davis being the Challenger.

He hasn’t shanked one for a while, still his accuracy has deserted him last few weeks from set shots.

He isn’t missing by much but still missing.
A couple of important shots tonight that missed.
I really, really hope we can go and watch in the last round if the club make the call.

Certainly looks like we will be out of contention.

Reminds me of Goddard’s last year. Statistically, it wasn’t too bad overall, but it decayed over the course of the season.

From memory, the club projected forward and assumed that Goddard’s curve would shift down again the next year…so a partial recovery for the start of the season, but ending even lower.

That determined the end.

We’re losing games because opposition have figured him out.

  • kicks really low
  • tries to take it out of the ruck
  • fakes handballs in attempt to milk a 50

Why not say “managed” rather than “dropped”.

Pretty poor treatment by the club for someone who rejected a big offer from Freo at the time of the saga and saved the club by being the first to sign on and who plays his heart out but his body won’t let him do what he used to.

but those issues were there 19 days ago and the coach said the above, that “that’s all they are asking of him”

so it either wasn’t good enough 19 days ago and the coach lied then, or they’ve finally woken up and realised he isn’t offering much, which brings into question why they couldn’t see it 19 days ago, when most on here could.
