Hooker has been a great club player and deserves full respect but heās too slow and offers no defensive pressure.
I hope Cale makes the right choice himself and isnāt pushed.
I hope he stays on at the club in some coaching capacity.

I like the fact that Stewart has spent a good time in defence to bring up his defensive game, and with the availability of Francis back, it was a bit of giving Hooker a rest and seeing how Stewart may have benefited from playing back most of the year and going forward. Allows a rest for Cale, plus it is a rebuilding year.

Across various threads Iāve read that Hooker, Gleeson, Clarke, Ambrose, Johnson, Cutler and Zaharakis should be retained for 2022.

Was he dropped or has he recovered from the knee to the hip he got before quarter time? Omitted from a AFL team is a pretty broad term.
Named in VFL team so itās not injury related
Trucks selection video indicated not been doing what needed past few weeks (not kicking the goals we need of him most likely IMO) so been dropped

I think it is about team development, Francis back and a formidable backline freeās up Stewart to go forward, Stewart is younger and needs to be tested back forward, or Francis goes forward, just need to play the youth in positions going forward.
