#27 Mason Redman - till end 2028

Does he find enough of it?

Personally donā€™t think his disposal and decision making are where they need to be to claim a spot.

Your just trying to throw me off picking him up in the draft

Could be a good early second rounder in BBFFL#2

I think you should pick him in the 50s like Newman. Do everyone a favour

Prove it. I donā€™t believe it.

Another Don deal: Defender signs on for two more (Sept 15, 2016)

ESSENDON has locked away another of its young players, with defender Martin Gleeson inking a two-year contract extension.

Gleeson played 20 matches this year in his fourth season at the Bombers.

The 22-year-old told the clubā€™s website he was excited about the future at Essendon, with nine of the 12 banned players having confirmed their return. Jobe Watson has yet to announce whether he will play on while Tayte Pears has retired and Michael Hibberd is seeking a trade to Melbourne.

Daniher right for pre-season despite surgery

"Iā€™ve really enjoyed my first season under Woosha (coach John Worsfold) and Iā€™m excited to be continuing my career at Essendon,ā€ Gleeson said.

"The bond amongst the players is really strong, we have made some great progress as a playing group this season, we are demanding elite standards of each other and building a really strong team culture.

ā€œWe know we have plenty of hard work ahead of us if we want to compete with the elite sides in the competition, but we also have so much to look forward to in 2017 and this is a team I want to be part of.ā€

Football manager Rob Kerr spoke highly of Gleesonā€™s work ethic.

ā€œMarty has proved himself as an important part of our senior list and an important part of our future,ā€ Kerr said.

"He is a highly respected member of our playing group and the competitive spirit he brings to the side each week is invaluable.

ā€œSince Marty arrived at the club he has displayed great professionalism and maturity.ā€

Gleeson was drafted at No. 53 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft.

The announcement of his re-signing comes in the wake of Aaron Francis signing an extension to see him at the club until at least the end of 2019.

(See above, Harvard referencing and all. This detail is what I expect from all Blitz posters in future)

According to Dunlopsā€™s contract thread heā€™s off contract after this year. That thread is usually very accurate.

Redman is contracted til end of 2019

Iā€™m not going to be a prick and take the p15s but I think youā€™ve got your wires crossed. I was talking about Alex Morgan.

What has that article got to do with Morgan? Or Redman?

Oh but Iā€™ve left myself open for you to take the p15s and got the two confused!

Anyways, back on topic. Redman, Forward or Back?

I think he looks pretty good for a kid playing HBF.

Iā€™m not sure exactly when he moved to defence but his last 5 games his disposals have been 21, 17, 19, 21 & 21.
I think heā€™s finding enough of it since he moved to the backline

all would be defensive games.

Thats probably what you want from a hbf. Dont want the ball down his end

That sounds like a reasonable improvement from his previous stats.

Redman looks like he something to work with, not so sure about Morgan. I would have loved to have seen Redman get some senior games this year but with so much experienced depth & our best run with injuries since the dawn of time, its not going to happen.

I see this guy playing a similar role to Goddard

This has nothing to do with how he plays as I have barely seen him but more to do with how he looks and his Mad Monday costume

EDIT: Redman FFS is indeed contracted till end of 2019. He gets 2 years from being drafted and signed for 2 more last year.

Que???

Redman signed an extension, I remember that. But Morgan as well??

You can find and talk about Morganā€™s contract in the Morgan thread
