It’s terrible news for Duursma, and I’m sure we’ll miss him, but I just want to say, when’s the last time we had so many capable alternatives that can play well on the wing?
Someone else we’ve been whinging about not having game time will now get game time. It will make the team stronger in the end.

Cox has been playing wing most of the season.
He can’t exactly play both at once

Mostly Cox, with stints with others. Even Durham doesn’t play all his minutes in inside mid. We rotate players through. Durham and/or Martin and others could do stints on the wing. I almost forgot Kelly…

We can cover but Durs has been so good the last month.
Everyone needs to remember the Essendon injury tax. (1.6 multipler). Also my new rule of Essendon always rounding up.
4 x 1.6 = 6.4 weeks = 7 weeks off.

Park Heppell on his wing and instruct him not to run further then our 50.
We wont lose out on too much defensively that way. Hep can cover lots of ground.
