Deadshit Scott is making a habit of taking players who are performing well where they are (Martin, Roberts, Duursma) and redeploying them. The stupid decisions just never seem to stop with this guy.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s stupidity or sabotage , I have absolutely no doubt that he’s the worst coach Essendon has had in 40 years

I was having this discussion on here with someone else the other day. The guy has been involved in top level footy for 30 years, and there are plenty of people pointing out his mistakes before he even puts them into practice. It seems highly unlikely that he could actually be this stupid.
Or.. we know what he can do on the wing, so let’s give him another backup role and also give another player a chance to learn a new role on the wing.
About time we spoke some common sense. I reckon it’s Wrights turn to have a crack on the wing.

Hes good floating forward off the wing when he loses his man, good in the air. But yeah as a pure forward he doesn’t have the nous/tricks.
Won’t get much praise but he worked his backside off today and got free several times but we ignored him.
Please keep him on the wing

I haven’t watched today’s game, but he consistently puts in effort, glad he did again today. He’s a good player.
Honestly thought he was almost our best. Hard as nails and did everything right. He was super reliable when there was a ball to win.

What are Blitz’s thoughts on Duurs? He escapes criticism here, but for a senior player, the gap between his best and worst is too big.
I can’t fault his effort, but has he remotely improved in the last 2-3 years?

My thoughts are he tries and provides coverage on the field. So agree work ethic is there. I have no faith in his field kicking and I feel he slows ball movement or turns it over too much. So if the squad was stronger I would not be playing him.

I thought he was absolute trash. He works extremely hard so for that he has my respect, but he was absolutely horrible

I agree with this. He works hard, play him on the wing. However MM is correct, he isn’t our long term prospect, ZJ & Clarke will make the wing their own in the future. One will be silky, the other tough as nails, ala Barnard & Caracella.
