Its quite unbelievable how bad he was. It was obvious straight away in the first preseason game against fark carlton. Remember he cracked the sh*ts at guelfi for not going for a mark whe n he was right under the ball himself. Did not kick one single goal while playing for us…
So what if Crauford’s background is different. Alessio just turned up to training. Mummy was playing country footy. Adam Goodes played Soccer as a kid like Draper.
Every year he has played Aussie rules he has won a B & F for the different clubs. He has great skills, is an excellent kick, very mobile and can take a pack mark, reads the play well. IN the praccy matches he was taking slips catches and hangers that was against AFL listed opposition players. He was doing things blokes his size just shouldn’t be doing. Similar to Daniher in a way, obviously not as good but I see similar attributes in him. I also love the fact that his body is sound. His attitude is also awesome. He is an elite trainer by all accounts. Give him a full preseason at AFL level and more practice games in the preseason against AFL teams and you will see what I am talking about. Any way I am bullish about his prospects. And why not? We need someone to come out of no where to help us move forward.
That is horse shittt I never spoke about Phillips as being our Saviour. I don’t speak of any one as being our saviour. I wanted Riccardi badly and spoke about him well before many on here knew his name and was very critical that we missed him twice. Look how that turned out.
Anyway, from what I have seen of Crauford he deserves a go and I think that he has the attributes to shine and become something very good.
Jamie Vardy is proof that being at a lower level till mid-career doesn’t mean you can’t become amongst the best latter. Even in sports such as English football where there are hundreds of millions of pounds spent analysing potential recruits to find hidden/under-priced gems.
