#3 Darcy Parish - signed to 2029 (Part 3, from April 2025)

None of those players are A grade imo.

A couple could be, but definitely aren’t at this stage

Our midfield always looks better when Parish isn’t in it. For a guy who has been around as long as he has, he is incapable of playing anywhere but midfield. The club needs to push him out come seasons end

One of those caused the Williams last qtr goal v fcfc.

To be fair I don’t think it was a feature of his best footy but he looks a mile off the pace and his best footy atm

They just got rid of McRae because he was too slow and they wanted to move Richards into the middle. Why would they want to go backwards by bringing in parish. They also already have actually the best first possession player in the league in libba

At his best he gives them but then gets them back with the old cheap 1-2. I’ve always had a problem with it as it is just unnecessary and introduces another source of screwing things up, it also makes it harder for the forwards to time their leads and easier for the defenders to react.

I got a feeling that this was Brads magnificent gameplan to run the ball rather than kick it long to their key backs. Geelong have obviously practiced pressuring the ball carrier to force the down the line kick, particularly against our panic merchant players.

Glad he’s seemingly over his injury and able to play out games. But he’s not taking us forward. We have three clones in him, Shiel and Tsatas…stoppage specialists who butcher the ball by foot.
