#30 - Nate Caddy - thru 2028

He signed a 4 year deal before the 2023 season, when he would’ve been out of contract. So that has him signed until the end of 2027.

So he’ll be 30/31 by then and cooked where no one will want him farking Duddoro

After training finished on Friday Nate came over to the training watchers for a chat - something he didn’t have to do, but he did it anyway…

Seems he’s a top person as well as a good footballer.

Cox and Jones are soft as and wont make it as anything decent. Time to move past them once we get some others playing decent footy

No one wants Wright. He’s been playing 2’s at two clubs that aren’t good enough to win finals in the past 4 years

The amount of people who drank the cool aid in his 1 decent year was laughable.

I provided a detailed account of how many marks he dropped in a single game in his “break out” year and the clappers on here went more Insane than if you mentioned tennis Albo is a horrible prime minister in the politics thread.

Someone would have taken him and probably coughed up a late 2nd or 3rd, I can’t recall the club ever being bold enough to cut really deep, Richmond have done it beautifully and will reap the rewards.
Wouldn’t be surprised if 2mp plays VFL most of the year.

The dees went and got tom Campbell. You have to wonder what we could have squeezed for 2mp if bundled into the pick swap deal.

Yeah, I’d have traded him. 203cm, 100kg+ and he’s scared of body contact. If he doesn’t return to a 2022 level of goal output next season, he never will again.

Sounds like perfect role for Kayle.

Tbf, it was a pretty darn good year.

The point was he was still closing his eyes, going up with 1 hand and dropping sitters in the 1 year he averaged 2.4 a game as a 200cm forward when his team mates passed to him >70% of the time they went forward. The proof was there for anyone willing to acknowledge it.

His greatest assets is his kicking. It’s amazing for a player of any size. But fark if we start hearing more bullshit excuses about his shoulder in season 25, when he was soft and dropping marks that were in his mits pre shoulder then I’ll legit Terry Wallace.

I took a sip of the kool-aid the night he ripped hawthorn apart when we had about 5 or 6 out due to covid.

He kicked 53 goals and won our best and fairest, of course we thought he was good

Including our ex list manager who gave him a beefy contract on the back of one year

4 games where he didn’t kick a goal, 2 where he kicked 1 and 5 where he kicked 2.

He was arguably given a B&F off the back of 10 games where he averaged 3.9 , in which he played very well, under the roof at Marvel, primarily against crap teams.

He still should have kicked >70 that year had he marked those he had in his hands.

The fact we have supporters getting carried away when a 200cm player kicks 53 and doesn’t win the Coleman, shows how far away
We have to go to be a relevant club.

What’s an examply of getting carried away?

Hoping that he could replicate it the following year?

Guelfi finishing 3rd ahead of Redman that year tells you all you need to know about how the club counts votes, wouldn’t be surprised if it was a ploy to keep 2mp’s confidence up.

Redman that year desdset played one third of the season as a liability.

That’s what cost him a higher finish in 2022. His inconsistency.
