#30 - Nate Caddy - thru 2028

Wright as ruck/forward

Bryan as the number 1

Good thing we never use it.

I doubt either of them will stick around tbh.

Could be the next Longmire / Carey, but less wankerish, the next Reiwoldt / Kozitschke, but less shared drives full of photos of the team with their prongs in tubes, or the next Lucas / Lloyd, but with less premierships.

My interpretation was hes having non of this near enough is good enough mantra that the senior players march to and anyone who thinks that way can fark right off. This mindset and stating the same publically is excactly what the club needs and what those players need to hear. Get on board or fark off.

Can’t snap on his left or fade on his right. He’s missed a couple of very close range left for snaps which is unforgivable for a pro IMO. Hope he sorts it out

Hope this is the case. Got his signature until end of 2028 at least.

Only sometimes* use it

Just had a look at the AFL stats, Caddy currently averages more shots on goal (4.6 per game) than the current Coleman leader Ben King (4.4 per game).

With his leap, penetrating kick, speed & ground ball skills I’m seriously excited by what we might have on our hands.

At worst Caddy will be a 50 goal a season forward who kicks long range bombs. But potentially we have a Coleman level forward who can win games and drag this club back from the brink.

He’s the most important player on the list, and must be made to feel that way. Everything we do from a list management perspective should be to maximise his talent. Get a midfield in front of him that has the skill to deliver the ball properly to him. Get the right forwards around him to help create space for him, to work hard defensively. The best teams maximise the talent of their best players.

Caddy’s kicking needs work, yes. But what he’s got going for him is he never drops his head after a miss and keeps the intensity up for the next contest.

His attitude tells me he’ll work on the deficiencies in his game until he improves and we’ll have an absolute gun on our hands in the not too distant future.

Actually, at worst he will be playing for another team doing those things.

I really hope it’s not groin again (knowing our luck with injuries).

He literally has broken his back for us!

He’s kicking multiple goals every week in our side!

getting plenty of opportunities, just needs to hone his goal kicking, or get more opportunities in better spots.
