watching the vfl and north have dropped logue and corr, 2 player they brought in to cover the loss of mckay.

they have dropped their underperforming backman.

why does he look like a totally different player when ridley isn’t playing.

I have a sneak suspicion they tell the backman to let Ridley be the intercept marker. Because he is very good at it.

Its the only thing that makes sense. When Ridley doesnt Play Mckay is so much surer under the ball.

Who knows. But its a good thing.

Was immense today. Played how he did early last year without Ridley.
He genuinely plays better without Ridley next to him. It’s a bit of a mystery but he just looks so much better under the ball when he is the anchor piece.

Still felt like a similar make-up to the backline to me, until Hayes went off.
