Alwyn’s best trait was his chasing and harassing. But avoided the contest at every opportunity.

In fairness Brad stuffed jr’s career by exposing him way too much too early and never gave Jayden a chance. Alwyn at junior level was a star I saw a lot of him, terrible development under Scott, he needed the slow introduction to AFL footy like a lot of indigenous kids.

Kids not gonna make it unless he can control what he puts in his mouth.
I cant believe how out of shape he still is this far into the year. Because of his short kick and average foot speed he cannot afford to be carrying an extra 5-10 kgs.
He is such a good crumber of the ball I really hope he does work on his fitness.

Something we’ve really lacked for a while. A genuinely crafty, small forward. I’d say his forward craft is even better than Kako’s.

Both goals were exactly what you want from a small forward. Was disappointed he didn’t convert one of his set shots, but I’m not sure he will have much range outside 40. A lot to like!
