#33 - Hussien “Hussy” El Achkar

Both Huss and Kako are kids. In two years both will rip forward lines apart, and if they can be kept on the park will go a long way to get improvement of the forward line. Caddy is now at the crossroads, he has played 40 games and needs better coaching from Hird and Lloyd.

You keep playing him

Yeah, one of the best thing is he will release Kako to play higher, where he is very effective, but we will still have a dangerous, smart, capable small forward closer to goal in Huss.

27 pressure acts - amazing ! And yet someone in the Votes thread couldn’t understand why I’d named him for an HM, saying that he only had 3 kicks in the match - which only goes to show that there are more ways of measuring a performance than by counting kicks gained.

Kako and El Achkar as our small forwards from after the bye all day please.

I hope El Ackar really gets fit and AFL conditioned this pre season. If he does I think he will go to another level.

I think he’s already much fitter than he was at the beginning of the season. I think his footy IQ (in particular his forward instincts) is pretty sharp. I think 2028 will be his year.

You’re too conservative, Mr. President.

Ha!! :joy::ok_hand:

He was the same in the Carlton game. Sucked in a lot of big ones. However there was a chase in the 3rd against Carlton. Tsatsas was being lazy as usual, Huss kept chasing from half forward all the way down, while Tsatsas didnt even bother raising an effort. Mind you tsatsas was 5-10m away from the opponent huss was still chasing .

Hard disagree.

If he loses some body fat, he’s not going to turn in to Fanta. He will always be a strong man for hia size, getting pushed off the ball is not going to be his issue.

But we do want him to be as fast and agile as he can be, and busting his gut for 4 quarters. And he would want to be leaner to achieve it.

I’m glad he can kick them from outside 30m. One of the few positives of the game, even though he doesn’t look fully AFL fit yet

Plenty to like. More preseasons and less kebabs, please

Will hopefully be that 3rd-best small forward who is always on the fringes of the team but chips in with a couple of goals when in-form. Looks a good finisher from within 35m.

Love me some Huss. We have gone from razzle dazzele to Huzzle Duzzle and I’m all for it.

Our most natural forward.

With another preseason, he’ll be very tricky to tackle. Got dem Gary Ablett Jr hips

I’m going to be honest with young El Akar.

He’s overweight and needs to get fitter. There, I said it.

His primary focus is to give himself a chance and get an AFL, professional sportsman’s body. Right now he looks overweight and is unable to move around at this level.

He has talent but if he can’t get fit and trim he won’t make it.
