There was a period, I think last year or the year before, when he was in the bests every week most weeks for half a season and never got a game. He’s regressed since. Maybe had a few good games this year without staring at all. It’s an easy decision to delist. Well, easy for most of the other clubs I guess.
List lodgement date is months away
McNiece playing in rd23 was the one I didn’t get. Long had been in the bests the previous few weeks, and it was clear by then that he was done. Long obviously done too, but I am of the opinion that he had more to offer than McNiece at AFL level.

He actually improved when we sent him to the HBF. Trouble is we have 10 players including a new Irish player who can play that role.
