He was very good on Sunday.
If he did key my car, I couldn’t be angry.
He probably would’ve been trying to get the key in the lock and missed the target by 4 metres.

His defensive efforts were good.
But he’s sloppy. Burnt a great inside 50 in the 1st (Caldwell able to recover), burnt another in the 2nd, and another in the 3rd. Plus missed easy targets further afield, mostly by hand.
Credited as giving away 3 frees, lucky not to be more.
I know its alot to ask, timestamps would be useful.
Actually, a timestamp thread for each game would be useful.

anyway afl app on phone if you have stats pro (telstra customers only?) you can see every involvement guelfi had for the game (13 mins ish of footage)

Seems to have an above average game every month or so, this is that one, it’s the rest of the average nothing games that concern me. Seems to just barely do enough to stay in the side (as he has now) but never enough not to be regularly on the chopping block. I’ll be looking for a repeat performance against Fremantle.

Works on the free version as well.
He has a couple of pretty good touches, and 2 great smothers, but a few too many turnovers, and that’s not counting a few handballs at the feet (the one to Caldwell after burning 2 free options in the first, the one to Parish near the end of the first) that didn’t actually get turned over. Good sides make you pay for those half mistakes, sides like Adelaide don’t.
He was lucky not to give away at least one more free kick as well - he jumped about a week early in a marking contest, got nowhere near the footy.

He gets a game unless preeetty much everyone else is fit, and they’re not.
But this is why he’s only fringe.

This guy has heart and determination.
Not a world beater, but a dedicated foot soldier.
Until we have more players willing to relentlessly defend he will get a game. I hope it is contagious.
