Has something happened here? Was omitted in odd circumstance considering he has always been a coach fav. Plenty of others that could have gone out before him. Had a pretty good game in VFL and again not named or even on the emergencies?
I get the sense and this is purely speculation that something has happened off field and he is being punished.

Interesting take…makes sense.
He was worst on ground in his last AFL game v Freo. As far as other pressure players, Lual showed signs and kicked 2 goals & held spot
Then we had a bye.
As a senior player one ok’ish VFL game not enough to get back into team. Giving Smartt a debut instead

Bad take - my point is Perkins and Gresham were equally as bad and Guelfi at least applied 19 pressure acts as a small forward compared to 13 and 7 by Gresham and Perkins.
Guelfi has more credits in the bank than those two so it’s an odd choice to make an example of him is my point.
I think something is going on in background.
I don’t think he a pretty good game at all in the vfl he was slow and didn’t do no where near enough to get the ball

He’s a slow small forward. There is no need for this in the modern game.
This keeps coming up in so many threads. Why do people think players tap a coach on the shoulder in the middle of a season and say “I’m ■■■■■■■ off at the end of the year just FYI mate, cheers”

As much as Guelfi is no more than a serviceable player at best (bang average at worst), I will say this… if more of the marshmallows who’ve represented the club during his time played with his attitude and aggression, we’d have been a far better club. He’s always given his all, it’s just that his ceiling is limited.
