He defo has a bit of mongrel about him and is a good size.
I really liked his ability to drift foward as a marking option.
Cant wait to see this kids play after a couple pre seasons. So much to like so far
Future captain.
Usually sit level 2 but I went down to level 1 wing yesterday to sit with a good mate. Looked taller down at ground level. The wing is his for the next 10 years.
He is a rangey type.
Not sure if been mentioned but looked like he was tagging Rowell around the stoppages at different stages and doing a bloody good job.
I think this bloke is going to be serious player. He is highly competitive, good disposal and his aerial work makes him a constant threat on goal.
He would be at home in the 80s teams…tough, hard runner, from the sticks; Sheeds would have loved him
the draft day marty party comparisons look pretty laughable now (can’t remember if i’m guilty but it’s possible)
Guilty here. I referred to him as ‘sweet fetus.’ He is no fetus.
Saw this up close a couple of times - did well & outstanding development.
Gets under the feathers of opposition and has mongrel.
Like.
How was he last night?
96% time on ground. 6 disposals.
Some good moments/spoils but didn’t notice him much.
He hasnt done much since Dreamtime
Been over hyped a bit i think, he’s a good size and should make a decent player, but hasn’t done much since his first game and has some brain fades. Maybe I’m more focused on him coz i picked up he’s a Brad Scott favourite already from his presser a few weeks back and we know what that typically means.
I thought he was pretty decent last week.
At times McIntosh was playing quite close attention to him especially when Clarke would roll fwd and try and sneak out the back towards the goal square. I think they were well aware of what he / the team like him to do.
That’s the way I saw it too. Richmond were happy for him to drift to the backline (with the rest of the Essendon team) but definitely paid him attention once he got past the half way mark when he was moving forward. It was a compliment from the Tigers but something he needs to work through.
Running out of gas I think, but had to play on a 200 game premiership player
