#36 - Angus Clarke

He look a better mark than Redman. Reads it very well in the air. Love the look of this boy. Something just screams tough dependable footballer

I thought the same thing looks a Ridley redman hybrid

Can we hire the weapon for a temp role for this pre-season to work in a 1 on 1 capacity with this lad?

When he’s not lifting he needs to be eating and when he’s not eating or lifting he needs to be sleeping. Nothing else.

Part of the role will be force feeding him Rib-eye steaks, chicken, broccoli, sweet potato and other ANABOLIC food.

i reckon he looks a much better kick too, more versatility in the type of kicks his can take. can kick on the turn around his body to change angles.

i reckon he’s deceptively strong in the lower body too.

Now I want to hear him say he’ll win the Norm Smith in ‘25. :joy:

Holy ■■■■ this kid will be a fan favourite on work ethic alone.

Good on him for winning the 2km.

Must be a freak runner.

Regardless, pretty concerning that a kid just drafted beat all the senior players who have a lot of preseasons under their belts.

Granted that some may be coming back from niggles etc. I suppose that would be another concern in itself.

Reminds me more of this fella tbh

That was my first impression too. Marty was looking super before his ankle injury robbed him of a lot.

Fwiw I reckon Clarke looks like he has a bit more strength through his legs and a bit more mongrel, both of which will hold him in get good stead

Looks like Redman pays his debts. They were just spotted entering a steak restaurant. :cut_of_meat:

Yep. He tried his best, but after the injury, the best he could get out was a mild smirk.

So he is a good reader of play, has a good intercept game, has amazing fitness and running ability, good kick and has speed too.

Though he is skinny… why didn’t Port pounce on him or other clubs… a bit weird.

Most of ports problems seem forward of centre so taking Whitlock and Moraes makes sense and Adelaide didn’t have a pick until late in the draft

Every draftee profile talks up kids to the point where you see them play and think, am I watching the same kid.

Yes, its laughable sometimes. If you didn’t know that it was a draft profile about a kid you’d think they were talking about a 3-time brownlow medalist.

Because he is skinny. Picking and not developing skinny kids has been EFC’s forte

You could say that about most draft profiles.

The 3 guys port took were rated higher.
Joe Berry
jack Whitlock
Christian Moraes

Plus they will help them out in 2025 they won’t have to wait 2 years for development.

crows only had 2 picks in draft. Draper and Welsh.
