Unlucky impact injury in a tackle, not the end of the world but annoying
I think the club would appreciate track watchers not going early and showing some discretion with reporting injuries
6-7 weeks for most clubs.
Essendon however wonât see him until mid year.
Which year?
Hmm. Then whatâs the point in reading a training report if it doesnât note a player being helped from the field with an injury or itâs just all positives?? The possums in the trees couldnât have missed the Clarke injury, itâs hardly keeping it mum.
Many of the Essendon social media crew have noticeably dialed back their critiquing of the team / club this year. Letâs hope objectivity isnât lost.
I get that track watchers are now commercialising their passions but if a training report is not going to touch on significant injuries then whatâs the point?
Difficult balancing act given thereâs likely club access to take into account and we all benefit from that. However, if itâs all going to be roses then at least we can think we might win a flag!
Of course it had to be syndesmosis couldnât be a 2-3 week injury fark me we are cursed
They are just extended arms of the club so you will find there is never a negative word to be had about the club
GeeâŚyou must be bored if youâre now starting to criticise the training watchers.
The people who actually take the time to go to training and give the rest of us some awareness of how the team is progressing.
Surely you could find a better target for your âdisappointment/outrageâ
Theyâre wonderful people and devoted fans like us. Itâs a difficult balance Iâm sure. Just my observation thatâs all.
Go back to the politics thread my friend.
Iam not calling into question their character we all know they are great people, my point is that they are basically club media team at this point
We are so rolling out harry jones on the wing round 1
Jones, cox & prior took to it with a sledgehammer
Oh good. Here I was expecting a massive over reaction to the only serious injury we have ahead over the preseason. Iâm glad everyone can see that although it sucks, it is an incidental injury that you cannot prevent.
Prior is on that wing
Good on them I say! Abd the club donât have to employ an expanded digital / coms team.
However, if meaty stuff like Clarke injury is now going to be not mentioned then itâs reasonable to question the value of some of the reports.
Horrible take tbh. I get that it would be nice to know this earlier, but what different does it really make between hearing it at 3pm when the track watchers report what they saw, or 5pm when the club reports it?
If you think you can do better - go and do it yourself - but until you are ready to dedicate that much of your time and effort to report for Essendon fans, just shut up mate.
Doesnt this just mean we are more likely to see Farrow and Kondogiannis?
Interchange - Perkins Guelfi Gresham Jones Cox
