#36 - Angus Clarke

or moving forward late in the game, trailing by 26 points and kicking 3 goals?

or snotting half the Collingwood team in the 1990 GF?

His stats don’t represent how important his game was today.
He laid some big tackles when they were needed and worked really hard up and down the ground. I would suggest our best option at Wing. Hopefully he gets to play the final 5 games.

I’m not sold on him like others. He shows promising signs but I’m not yet convinced he’ll be a 200 game player.

But thought he was very very good today.

Needs to clean up some of his disposals under pressure. But he was good. 2nd game back and he is impacting games. Must remain fit and continue to develop his game

After the win? Gees he was pumped in the huddle even before the game even started - yelling and fist pumping

Has a bit of pace and has a penetrating kick. His inclusion and impact was noticeable on how the team was able to execute.

Unpopular opinion and a bit harsh but I actually don’t rate Duursma much. He’s salt of the earth and I love how he cracks in but he’s a bit lumbering and slow to get ball to boot.

Love how he enjoys the niggle and has a crack at laverde for giving a away free kicks. Laverde told him where to go and Clarke laughed it off

He’s just 19 and something to work with, coming off an injury. Play him the rest of the year, I think it shows that they brought him in quickly after his injury to how they rate him.

I only like this guy on the wing, his height endurance and long kick is really suited to that position. Makes it even more confusing why we brought in fiorini when we have a few wing options already.

Who are they exactly?

Fiorini will be nowhere near the senior team next year i expect. martin to return, angus and adw with another preseason in them, duursma playing a more combative brand, not to mention johnson, farrow and roberts. I wouldn’t pick him ahead of any of that list

Fiorini already appears to be working as a development coach. He was in the huddle yesterday. Expect he’s there as a break glass in case of emergency player and to really support the kids in their development at training and in the VFL.

Duursma, Martin, Cox, El hawli, Clarke and then other guys that have gone through there like Jones. Plus it’s a position you could put a young guy that isn’t ready for inside mid there too get game time in, like Roberts, Farrow, Johnson etc

Clarke, Duursma and Fiorini are your true wingers, it’s their best positions. I fancy Artemis might end up there as well in time.

We paid 4 years for that?

It’s not like anyone else wanted to come to us or if we have any players worth paying to fill up our salary cap.

With Fiorini and Duursma both done for the year hopefully Clarke can cement his spot on the wing for the rest of the year.

Clarke one wing and Artemis the other.
