He was playing wing on Wednesday.
and in the praccy. he’s the perfect modern wingman at 190cm if his tank is decent which it appears to me. is probably a bit zippier and more agile than langford but not as strong on the air. i liked what i’ve seen of his range of kicking and he has a bit of creatitvity and smarts about him too. i think he’s a great acquistion. we suddenly have a bit of log jam of viable wing options - cox, langford, durham, martin, even guelfi. i think martin also shows postential as a smart lead up half forward too.

I suspect that McDonagh was recruited with a half back role in mind.
Who says he’s on a two year deal? The AFLPA CBA allows for players older than 23 to be given one year contracts when first drafted.
He’s so surplus to needs right now it’s crazy. Especially with McGrath moving to HB.
I hope he proves us wrong, but he was a particularly strange selection.

Not really IMO. He seems to catch up with players a fair bit through the media and socially. Why go all the way out to Tulla to see them?

Wingman are dodoro’s new half back flanker, he loves them at the moment. Also any player that dodoro randomly picks out and nobody is excited about when they are initially selected, always seem to end up quality players. Snelling, durham, guelfi and then in the past guys like hibberd and baguley etc. are some examples.

i feel very comfortable in saying he’s had a better hit rate with his mature age (i.e 20 or older) rookies over the last decade and a bit than he’s had with with his second or 3rd round swing for the fence type picks.

Snelling done well, im not sold on Durham yet, Guelfi has been serviceable, cant see him getting any better, just a foot soldier but thats ok as long as hes happy.
I thought he was sniffing him. But yeah, better than crotch-grabbing, I guess.
