#37 - Nic Martin - all of the injury extension

Seems to have great hands, but missed target with every kick he had in that clip.

Hopefully thats just a matter of getting up to the speed of the game. Looks to have all the tools to be a great AFL player. Not worried about his disposal at all.

Kicking wasn’t great on Saturday night

he just weights his handballs perfectly.

Probably an unfair assessmment

First kick was fine to 2MP in a pack situation
Second kick was to Draper through the middle that Draper probably could have gotten to had he not been turned into a statue
Third kick was a snap at goal under pressure
Fourth kick was a hurried kick out of defence (that was then contested)
Fifth kick was a shank at goal

ANNOUNCE

In the practice game his kicking was really good.

I wouldn’t worry about it.

Slotted in seamlessly. No sign of nerves or being overawed by the occasion. Looks like a natural and can only improve for the run. Will be a player.

Haha. The post above my last one has been deleted.

It was the person’s first post so I’m guessing the mods worked out it was Bidzy (or SMJ) in disguise

he looks to be better at standing up in tackles than his thin frame would suggest

Yep Martin has the tools and attitude to be a regular. Plays round 1 for me.

Yeah that was what I thought. He also seemed better around the contest than I thought he’d be given he looks like a HF/wing type.

Bring. Him. In.

Reminds me of Caracella.

He’s only 21, same draft as Jones.

Can’t see him lining up round one but has shown enough in the pre-season to justify selection later on in the year.
Really happy with the pick.
