In: this guy.
In: this guy.
It was a practice game. Snelling wants to play midfield, coaches gave him an opportunity there in a game that doesnāt matter.
Heāll spend most of his time forward, probably rotating through the middle occasionally.
Martin was very impressive.
Caracella v2.0
$100 for rising star. Free money.
Made it very hard not to select him round 1, 12 possessions in 1 quarter for a young bloke thatās never played AFL is impressive. Whatās more impressive is that he has so much poise and class, he knows how to find the football and always seems to have time.
Plays ahead of Ham, Guelfi and even Smith for mine. Offers more than all those guys
If he learns to kick as Blake did weāll have a very good player
Looks so comfortable already at the level. Seems to be a natural accumulator too and makes great decisions.
I must say I wasnāt at all excited looking at his profile when he came down to train, but we could genuinely have found a bargain here.
Seems appropriate that a player who looks like Seinfeld stars in a game thats about nothing.
Is he a sneaky chance of a debut rd1?
12 possessions in Q3 after he came on at half time. Boy can football. And everything he does is quality.
SuperCoaches around the country watching with interest
Suspect heāll need to get some full games of VFL in firstly and await an opportunity
Itāll be tough, considering weāll have Francis, Shiel, Stringer and Kelly all available for selection come round 1. Makes it hard to fit him in. Not a bad problem to have, though.
Having said that, he wouldnāt look out of place in the round 1 team.
BRING HIM INNNN
ANNOUNCE
In terms of the versatility needed for the Sub role, heās probably right in with a shot.
Competing with Cox, Guelfi & Durham for that role really. Though Waterman might be an outside chance.
Given Cox is, I reckon, still starting 22 as far as the coaches are concerned, and Durham & Waterman are lacking game time this preseason. Itās between him & Guelfi.
Note; donāt think Hobbs qualifies with the versatility you want in a sub, if you need to shuffle the cards to cover the loss of a forward or back.
If he doesnāt play round 1, donāt think weāll be waiting long for a debut. He looks to have an enormous up side.
Iād take him over Ham.
ANNOUNCE
He is surprisingly strong for his size on more than one occasion he stood up in the tackle and dished off, i love players that can do that itās really important.
Sure. But Ham isnāt one of the guys heāll need to push out of the side.
Ham started on the wing on Saturday night.
Iād actually start Martin over Cox.
This guy is fantastic. Gets to the right spots. Never fumbles. Never panics. Always takes the play forward. Thereās a lot to like.
Terrific highlights.
Dodoro has done it again.
