Nope. You do not tank.

So, DJR do we agree on one thing?

Almost appalling

We can appease everyone here with 3 picks? (Edwards, Bryan & Draper). Pick 1 - Best available, Pick 2 - Best available, Pick 3 - Best Ruck.

We have been the grand final winners of playing by this rule for 24 years straight. A shame we also got done for other lesser infringements I can’t recall.

I recall Simon Madden was 16 and a bit in his first game and that was some time ago.

I do not see the forward planning here.

Give Vigo as many games in the AFL line up as you wish but how many will support his AFL career if crushed?

Days of tough love are over. Needs the VFL to find his feet and graduate if even possible.

Goldy is so limited in helping out. We lost Bryan & Draper. No choice but to dip into the mid draft for an also ran. Perfect for our needs. They know the deal too.

Those posters that want Vigo to run around in the AFL are dreamin’ alla ā€˜The Castle’. Cannot do it over time.

Good times. Tim Watson was 15 in the late 70s. Those days are over though now…

Says your calibre of poster on data ^^

Ethan Read

Read made his AFL debut for the Suns at 18 years of age in round 4 of the 2024 season against the Greater Western Sydney Giants in Mount Barker and kicked a goal in his first game.

(although he was a first round pick)

Goldy will need a rest at some point pretty soon - there aren’t any ā€˜easy’ rucks coming up so maybe you send Vigo up to the Gabba at the end of May and Goldy can rest the legs.

Brodie Grundy first game at 19y 103d.

it’s ok to be technically wrong

Josh Fraser played 21 games as an 18 year old in 2000.

ā€¦ā€œFraser played 21 games in his first season. He won an AFL Rising Star nomination in his debut year. He played all 25 games in 2002, kicked 37 goals and played in the Grand Final team where he kicked three goals, following a three-goal haul in the Preliminary Final. In 2003 he had over 340 disposals in the season, 300 hit outs and kicked 20 goalsā€ā€¦

I think you need to loosen the grip on something.

It’s a pretty simple concept.

Not many saying bring him in next week and most think some mature coverage is needed. But his development is being accelerated by being first ruck in the VFL, it is an opportunity, and if he shows he can hold down the spot, should be rewarded at some stage this year as a priority. Even just to give Goldy a bit of a rest.

For both his and the clubs future.
