or maybe, just maybe he had one good season, that he won’t replicate and people will dine off that for the rest of his days at the club.
whatever it is, a forwrdline of 2 talls (caddy, wright,jones, draper whatever combo you go with) and langford and stringer is simply not a forwardline you can build a premiership around.
he could potentially be a decent 3rd tall, but the reality is we won’t have a decent forwardline for a few years, so is it actually worth keeping him ?
Isn’t that the current issue with our club? Player X had a good year or half a season and can never again replicate it. Lives off the cred of that one season for 10 years.

When the pressure is on, he hasn’t stood up. Dropped marks, missed goals.

What concerns me about Langford is how his defensive effort has dropped off, as he is struggling offensively. From last year his defensive work to lock the ball in was just as impresive as his goal kicking.
I didnt think he had that in him.
Earlier in the year as he was still doing well, but the effort appeared to be becoming more lackadasical.
Players go through down periods, thats fine but when your struggling for form, concerted effort should be increased to do the basics like chase and tackle right.

Agree. He hooks all his set shots, he’s lost power in his kicking.

Said it a couple months back, my friend saw him coming out of the chiropractor and there were xrays on the table when he went into the room.
Surely though if it were anything bad he wouldnt be playing.
I dont think its an excuse.

He may be worth a little bit on the trade table.
Got to start throwing players like him up for trade
If there’s a taker for him and the offer is good, get rid of him
He doesn’t stand up in big moments. Not just him though, redman, mcgrath, parish and Draper could be added to that list for starters

Big games, but you could also argue these teams weren’t tracking well when we played them, they were well down on form.
