#4 Kyle Langforward

I think that’s being a little dramatic.

He’s kicked nearly 40 goals (leading the club) this year, when looking out of touch the whole time.

He’s been damn frustrating though.

He suffers massively when we resort to kicking it long into the forward 50, which we’ve regressed back to doing now for the last 10 games.
The start of the year was some of the best entries into our 59 that I have seen in years, and Langford was thriving with them.

That is a spurious argument. You play a team when the fixture appoints the date, we are not responsible for their form line when we play them, we are only responsible for getting the wins. Their form at the time is not relevant.

Well find out over offseason or next year that he was playing and the media won’t question why we did that

Injured?

He’s definitely been playing the second half of the year… quality of the play however…

Yeah that

We’ll probably find out in a few weeks that he has been carrying an injury for the second half of the season when they send him for surgery and commence rehab that will ensure him a derailed preseason.

What would we get trading him?

Hopefully an upper.

I hope so because the loss of his goal kicking influence killed our season

Saw some mentions of that hip pointer hit he copped, who knows

Yeh he’s been cooked since that hip knock

As poor/painful as his dropoff in the second half of the year has been, I think Kyle’s very much become a victim of our expectations.

We’re talking a medium forward that kicked 50+ last year, will probably end up with 40+ this year. How many mid forwards in the comp are capable of that??

Yes there’s obviously been disappointing aspects to his game, but FK me. Talk of trading him is absolutely bananas.

Fans want to trade everyone when the team is struggling and playing poor. Conversations of trading blokes like Langford wouldn’t be taking place if we actually finished top 4 like were tracking earlier in the season.

I have heard he has some personal issues he has been dealing with (not health related) but a big distraction for him. It might explain his drop off in the 2nd half of the year.

I’m sure he will be back to his best next year

Trouble finding the right photographer to book for romantic engagement moment…

Jokes.

Hope everything is ok for him.

I’d still put him up for trade this year

Yes, if the team was better, people wouldn’t say the team is bad. Spot on.

We didn’t finish top 4 though, Nino, unless you missed that.

You’re right, they wouldn’t, but we didn’t, so here we are.

We never make tough calls on players, that’s a very big part of our problem
