Love his movement-speed and skill just like Menzie (lol)

they’ll go with “cult hero”, book it in

If there’s one thing I love it’s a bloke that gets around his teammates, most of our young crew definitely passing the vibe checks

I feel like he sealed his own fate in being a perfect sub.
That’s what you want from a sub

None of us saw that coming after the last 3 months hes had.

I never understand these comments… “that’s what you want from a sub”… aren’t those things also what you want all 4 quarters?

Do you even support Essendon? Half our team doesn’t know how to play 4 quarters.
Let’s see if he can play four quarters.

Part of our horrendous culture was laid bare by losing Adam Saad after his initial contract.

Post game interviews with El-Hawli were fantastic and it’s great for club morale.

Saad will make his way, hopefully Brad sees you have to have leg speed in todays game and this guy should not be out of this side all year.

Get it to Saad

That’s the game plan

I can do it myself. He’s arrived.

That run and play changed the game.

His injection into the game broke the deadlock. He provided a burst of energy off the backline, took the game on with his give and go and then Marto finished it off in style. It was an electric play and the sort of thing we heard about during preseason. There is no doubt that his work sparked up others and got them up and about. With him back there running, gunning and breaking the lines, we don’t look quite so slow any more.
