#41 Saad El-Hawli - thru 2025

It seems to me there is one rule for older guys, one rule for youngsters and another rule for Saad. First 3 games starts as sub, plays a full game then plays the next week, first and second quarter both start on the bench and then subbed at half time hahaha. Nice one Brad. Tracking beautifully.

Can’t wait for Saad to follow the Massimo path and be in All Australian contention at another club next year.

Clearly we’re assessing the wrong metrics then.

Brad is to SEH as knighta was to bachar

Yeah because Massimo has been smashing it this year. How he even made AA last year is one of the more bazaar selections Iv’e seen.

We could use some good kicks in this team

To be fair, he’s young in senior experience but just turned 24. Absolutely he hasn’t been given a proper run at it though, and showed more in one game than someone like Jones has on a wing, who is inexplicably a lock for the starting 22 and just got extended 2 more years.

Would think there must be a few factors at play

His tank being one as has faded out. Maybe his running patterns/positioning as winger offensively and especially defensively lacking also.

Has got a taste at the top level, now perhaps has his areas to work on.

Liked what has been seen when he has the ball however. I’m sure we will see him again over course of season in our best 23.

Clarke now gets his taste at top level also

in a 90 point loss and the opposition scoring 127, are you trying to run with the rest of the side met their quota for all that ■■■■ ?

against top 8 sides so far this year the scores against have been 121, 107,161,111.
that would suggest there’s multiple players still in the side who aren’t meeting the same criteria,
so the question is, why are they still in the side ? why are they not being dropped as easily as this kid ?

no he doesn’t get or deserve any special treatment but if he’s going to be judge by a bunch of undisclosed variables that ultimately aren’t helping in the side as a whole win or meet key SOP, then EVERYONE in the starting 22 should be judged on it.

and if the senior players are meeting these arbitrary undisclosed metrics, then the club truely is ■■■■■■ , cos blind freddy can see it ain’t ■■■■■■■ working all that well.

Massimo wasn’t AA last year.

I thought he was?

Maybe it isn’t metrics, maybe he just isn’t doing what he has been told to do. But no, he is flawless and it has to be Brad’s fault because Saad would never do anyhting wrong. None of us know why he was benched or why he was dropped, but the ■■■■■■■ conspiracy theories by a bunch of whingers is ridiculous. Maybe just maybe, a senior coach with over 250 games of coaching experience might know a lit bit more than a bunch of ■■■■■■■ whiny keyboard warriors.

He made the 44 man Squad

so every other player did what they were told last week ?

and got belted by 90

and you want to run with this guy knows more than anyone, right.

Oh.

We know that there were a dozen senior players who were as bad or worse in a 90 point loss who are free to keep stinking it up.

No you dense pillock. I’m saying that none of us know why he was benchjed or why he was dropped, but I don’t subscribe to a conspiracy against the kid. I was simply offering possible reasons why he might have been dropped, which apparently you conflate with me having any ■■■■■■■ idea why he was dropped either. Jesus christ some people just want to watch the world burn for the sake of their own ego.

Theres no defending this Nino. This is poor management. He has his favourites & even if they are out of form will play them. If Jones was available he would of been selected. This is going to end very badly for us because Saad has a ton of potential
