Friggin’ LOOOOL.

Is it also that he might be a tad overated on here
well if you don’t know why he was benched and dropped, why is the supposed consipracy about being young so offensive to you, you get so worked up and come in here go on a rampage about it ?
if you don’t know the why, then by default the option people are purporting is just as valid as the rest, surely ?
and no, people don’t want to watch the world burn, but if people are going to come on here and sprout the potential reasons are X, Y and Z as to why he was dropped, then those reasons should be applied to everyone, and if everyone didn’t meet them, why aren’t they punished for it ?
oh and scott may have 250 games coaching experience, but guess what he and all us common plebs have on here with regard to his coaching career ??
none of us, including scott have coached a premiership team, just remember that.
You: Here is the single reason why player x dropped. No other reason is posssible becaude I have made my mind up.
Me: You are not privy to the reason he was dropped, maybe it was one of these 10 possible reasons.
You: Nah. The coach just hates player x.
Me: Why:
You: Because he’s young and has a funny last name. Don’t question my indignation and hatred of the coach.
Me: I prefer to think that an experienced coach may know what they are doing just a little. At least more than someone that has never coached an AFL team.
You: Yeah nah: Coach just hates that players because he didn’t bench four other players during the game instead. They were all ■■■■ so should all be dropped.
Me (now): Let’s just drop everyone and play every kid, get flogged by 200 points and then you can happily complain that the coach doesn’t know anything and should be sacked.
You just dont get it do you? Blitzers know much much more about players than coaches. Coaches are obsessed with roles and development and game plans and spend hours and hours almost every day with them. They get overwhelmed by detail. They cant see the wood for the trees!
Blitzers see the players for a few moments once a week without the haze of all that role and development stuff and can assess players without being bogged down with all that minutia. This endows us with incredible clarity and certainty. Time you showed a bit more confidence in your whims and realised you too know way more than a mere coach!
I get what you’re saying, and I admire the sarcasm, but some selections simply defy any sort of logic.
Sometimes Blitz is right. Sometimes the coach is wrong.
I agree, that shouldn’t happen, but it does.
Edit: and some of what people might consider to be odd decisions could be explained by the coach, but unfortunately every time he opens his mouth he inspires less confidence, so…
Personally think Saad is very unlucky to be dropped scott could have been so much more creative with him.
Last week when dale was torching us and we had Hobbs on him and then Perkins and they got minced they could have given Saad a quarter on Dale he would have been fast enough to go with him and we know Saad can kick goals so he may have got him going back the other way.
The week before he had 21 touches and a goal and then 9 in half and yet guys getting 10-15 touches for a whole game just get to play week on week without any threat of being dropped
I think though it’s proven brad doesn’t know what he’s doing with team selection. Massimo, Wiedeman, heppel and Kelly despite them not playing the next year, too tall in the wet, not twice but 3x. Not dropping his favourites, the list is endless. It’s his biggest flaw and why he’ll never win a flag, it was the same at north reportedly too, zero selection integrity and terrible development of young players.
ahhhh thats it, pack it up the forums not needed
Yep your right, the coaches we have are awesome and perfect judges of talent and how to develop that talent
I mean we have seen almost no evidence of that coming into year 3 of brads tenure, but coach always knows best
Wouldnt have made a diffrence the whole team was getting blasted off the park we couldn’t lay a hand or get the ball off the dogs
Exactly the point we had nothing to lose by trying him in a different role
He got dropped for the same reason Shiel did, and why Tsatas is in the twos and why Clarke is favoured over Johnson. If you’re not tackling and pressuring, you’re in trouble.
Yep, he needs to learn the art of the half arsed, one arm tackle that could be broken by a 12 year old but at least you look like you are doing something.
Then the whole midfield should be dropped after last week. Because the dogs obliterated them
I like to call it the “redman special”
There why the fark is nic Martin and Archie Perkins still in the side then?? Going by your logic
I think it’s cute that people on here dont think that players are treated differently (or should be/can be) by coaches.
