If we get Brayden George at 22, then can put him on LTI list
and pickup McKenna as a SSP

Tippa 1 year deal

4 Wardlaw / Humphrey / Tsatas
22 George
30 A Davey
41 Munkara
55 J Davey

SSP McKenna

surely not too much to ask.

Faark Blue Tippa

From what I’ve read, Freo are pretty much out of the picture…unless we decide that he’s just not going to get back to fitness and remove him from the list.

Thats how i see it too Freo wernt super keen.

Dosent really have a choice Walla imo ethier stay retired or prove to Essendon that he can get fit and is serious about playing

Agree - he’s just an opportunist, trying to make a quick quid - let him jump on the Geelong bandwagon and I hope they begin their downward trend from this year - Karma train needs to take effect soon one would presume…same with Tigers - they’ve put all their eggs in one basket to go for one final swing at it - hopefully it fails…and they fall back into a few years of rebuild.
Here’s hoping the next few years of domination of the Red & Black (and hopefully beating Carl-tank in a few GFs to come)

Reckon the club will anounce soon final list lodgement is 10th of November?

Haven’t heard anything on Conor. However if he wanted to make a quid it wouldn’t be Geelong.

Plenty of off-field totally not financially related financial incentives that can alleviate that.

For example, apparently Conor wants to get into Horse breeding and racing…

Valid point.

Barham is on the board of the vrc.

McKenna could go on the cat b list? Considering he has come from another sport again

Isn’t there a limit on international recruits?

We only have 1?

Mckenna isn’t returning to Essendon.
And this thread is about Walla

Unless your after a sweet deal on a few blocks of land and the girlfriend can make a 500k pa working one day a week at cotton on.

not specific to connor, but i do wonder how much of this goes on behind the scenes, and how much of it is actually allowed.

obiously geelong would be leading the pack in helping out behind the scenes in this area, and not just with cotton on. but how far or how wide is the net to catch outside of the cap shenanigans ?

I think it’s huge. It’s why us loosing Kia as a sponsor was such a big deal. All the top players were getting cheap cars, appearance fees at car sale events and direct sponsorships with local dealers. None of that with Amart, I doubt they have any ability to have creativity in the player space. You can throw in property deals, cheap labour on renovations to allow house flipping for extra $. There are so many ways you can arrange business incentives outside the cap it’s ridiculous.
