#43 Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti - WALLA MACCA TIPPA - till 2022

I'm sure those who were at the game would have a better handle on this but from watching the replay Tippa seemed to be free a lot but not used coming out of defense. Has he not earnt the trust of his teammates? I find it odd since when he is given the ball his decision making and positive game play really opens up the defense. On the same note, the amount of give and goes McKenna creates that aren't honored is huge. Both these players should be looked for more and I'm sure we would escape the forward press with greater ease. Give the ball to Tippa and Conner.

May have missed an instance or two on the weekend, but my impression from the season has been that the boys look for him almost too much. They obviously love him and everything he’s achieved as much as we do.

I swear he’s a Jedi.

OK, here we go.

Walla picks a pocket or two

Thanks @andrewb

Finishes off with a deliciously weighted handball

watching that from down the line, it was amazing that he ended up with the ball. He basically extracted that from the grasp of the dogs player, then took off and dispatched before anyone knew what had happened.

Laverde charges in thinking that he’s got to lock it in or get it out to the boundary, but the ball is already going the other way

I swear he's a Jedi.

Yes, play football did he.

“Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.”

Execute the play, you will.

Before this gets out of hand what I mean is that he absolutely has a preemptive understanding of a play that no one else on that play does. That’s a really impressive intelligence.

Ok, go sick.

■■■■■■ oath, the force is strong with this one.

I feel a disturbance in the force. Jobe wan will return and dish out to the Walla. The force will be balanced.

Yes, well now I’m starting to feel a disturbance in the force.

“Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away… to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.”

“Looking? Found someone you have, eh?”

“PATIENCE YOU MUST HAVE my young padawan”

Jedi Padawan: An Initiate who successfully completes “fundamental training” is given a second-class education and then undergoes Padawan training under the tutelage of Mentor (usually a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master). They are also called “Apprentices” and “Padawan learners”. As a rite of passage and the final test before the trials to knighthood, Padawans must build their own lightsabers. In the Old Republic, Padawans usually wore a hair braid on the right side of their head which was removed with a lightsaber upon attaining knighthood. They also served as Commanders in the Clone Wars. The term Padawan appears to originate in Sanskrit and can be understood as “learner," both in Sanskrit and by contemporary native speakers of Sanskrit-based languages.

His midi-chlorian count is off the charts.

It’s a long stay for Tipungwuti,
He’s a long stay to go,
It’s a long stay for Tipungwuti,
He has the sweetest twirl we know!
Goodbye kicking silly! Farewell pressed of square!
It’s a long, long stay for Tipungwuti,
But he’s heart’s right there!

Not to state the obvious… but might help having a more structured back 6 next year and having better players in there. That innate understanding of where your team mate is and how to get him the ball takes years to build up and have confidence in.

I imagine that will improve out of sight next year when we start to have a solid line up back in.

The Geelong game gif is Jedi mind tricks.

This isn’t the football your looking for.
