My new name for TippaWalla, Mr Magic.

He is very good with the ball in hand, but he still has a lot to learn generally speaking about the game at AFL level, especially to play midfield.

Our midfield was well beaten today, in the contest and in transition, if Walla wants to play there he needs to learn alot, as even guys like Merrett are still learning there.

Absolute gun. Kicks better on his oppo than the rest of the side do on their preferred.
Thank Fark he is playing for us. Couldn’t deal with it

Is exactly what our midfield needs, speed and toughness!! Why isn't he there?

He’s able to get a fraction more of a breather playing defense. I think they’d worry he’d blow up too quickly playing midfield.

We have nothing to lose!

For a bloke his size he has stunning penatration in his kicking. Those long passes he got over the top to hams and JD were just sensational. Really sets him apart from some of the other small men running around in the league.

Can’t touch this

I’m glad they tried him forward yesterday, probably good to freshen him up with a new role and given how the season has gone, why not throw things around a bit and see if we find out a bit more about the youngsters? I’d have liked to have seen Walla in at the centre bounces when the Saints won the last 5-6 clearances after we hit the lead in the last. Just a bit of magic from one of those, or a big tackle to deny them an easy exit might’ve been crucial…

Great to see him bounce back quickly after an ordinary last game against the Eagles.

Sign of a mature footballer.

Might have had something to do with a change of boots, long break or that he’s just farkin’ unbelievably awesome.

Tippa abd Raz as small forwards allowed Hams to play the Alwyn Davey CHF role.

Serious question, and probably needs more of a sample size to be fair - is he in the top 10 kicks in the entire AFL?

It is a very fair question - and over 30-40 metres you would have to suggest it’s a ā€˜yes’.

Made defenders scared - Very scared !

TIPPA - Forward or back

Colyer, Fanta, tippa, lav forward - oh my

Now we just to get Connor up to speed at half back and we’ll go from being one of the slowest sides to one of the quickest

They finally learn how to say his name but now to friggen lazy to say it.

Can't help but think he is going to be a level better again next year.

Could use some more endurance (or a bit more footy nous to work out when to expend the energy he does have). Could use a bit more belief in his ability to win games off his own boot. Could use another pre-season with the lads just working out exactly what each other is going to do.

I know this year has been a massive step up for him. Reckon he can step up again in 2017.

Just aslong as we don’t coach the natural instinct out of his game with structures, ā€˜playing percentages’ & set plays. Imo that was one thing that destroyed Leroy Jetta’s football.

Obviously Tippa is more of a complete package than Jetta with his work rate and his ability to win the contested footy. But I trust Worsfold has more of an understanding of this aspect of coaching, as opposed to Matthew Knights.
