Dempsey may be the happiest bloke at Essendon today. With the 12 coming back I thought Dempsey was gone. But with the pro is shown by tippa fwd today you would have to think tippa goes fwd and Dempsey stays to keep the backline run.

Put him in the middle, the more we can get the footy in his hands the better. His clean hands and burst pace would make him a weapon at stoppages. Just imaging Parish dishing one of those bullet passes to a weaving Tippa, we would be pressing forward at stoppages more often than not.

As much as i want him dodging and weaving in our fwd 50 i think we are most dangerous when he is around half back helping us quickly rebound. Opposition defenders are pressing up to lock the ball in their fwd 50 and Tippa can break the lines, draw multiple players and find targets by hand and foot.
I fear if he plays as a fwd we wont be able to get the ball to him.
