It is what it is.
They aren’t going to come out and crap all over Munkara to explain why.
I’m sure he’d be fully aware of the reason why and would have known through the season.
Best of luck to him. Hopefully he smashes whatever comp he’s involved with and we give him another shot.
We need to start being more ruthless.
And it appears we are acting that way as soon as players come off their contract. Jones getting 1 year was a surprise.
Hopefully we remain consistent as each player reaches the end of their contract.
So they are obliged to keep underperforming or homesick indigenous players on the list just based of of that statement? You are clutching at straws by quoting that stuff. Still plenty on the list FYI
Isn’t it relevant when they have just delisted 3 First Nations boys?
All very well to come up with these grand statements but when they couldn’t “nurture” a prodigious indigenous talent like Munkarra, then they haven’t exactly succeeded?
We wouldn’t have first dibs later on though.
If another club wants him, they may be able to put him on their senior list.
If we want him, we can put him back on rookie B list.
I’m assuming it’s the same deal as when we drafted him.
Or he read his own body and mind and realised he wasn’t going to really get back to the level required.
I, for one, am glad he came back and gave it a go. It gave us a better finish for him than the sudden loss we previously had. If you see it as a fail, that’s your choice.
Our academy does its best to set these guys up for AFL life.
Lord got a few years through the program.
Tippa wasn’t in that program because it’s more for first few years of their career.
Munkara went through it.
The club communication isn’t like other delisting. Maybe he just prefers to be playing on the Tiwi Islands. Away from whatever spotlight he was receiving at the club.
