He kicked 150 for Southern Districts.

I saw that as well.

Best ex afl player I watched was Liam Jurrah. Was just a sublime footballer. He kicked 6 goals every which way that day.

Still remember wanting us to rookie Waylen Manson, I guess its like going after a ten bagger.
High risk high reward, Think he was kicking bags like ten goals in NTFL games at the time.

So he has nominated for the draft again?

Was he delisted as we didn’t think he’d cut it?

I had assumed he wanted to go home as it would’ve been ridiculous to cut a player like him after 1 year.

nothing can surprise you with this club so who knows.

I thought that he was homesick? Obviously not. I’d like to know the real story.

Does he need to nominate for the draft?

Surely he could have been picked up as a dfa by any club?

Given that time period for dfa has just passed, do we assume that he has changed his mind?

I think the real story is Munkara wants to play AFL, but given his minimal impact in the VFL we didn’t think he was worth a list spot.

kicked 4 more on the weekend.

Not the most on the ground though as the Warratah’s smashed Palmerston.

What is the difference in standard? So many players have been good to excellent at the ressies level and spuds at senior AFL standard.

Yes Munny has nominated again.

908 nominations in total!

It’s automatic for four years when you first nominate. He hasn’t nominated again this year as he doesn’t need to. Any club that want him can sign him as a delisted free agent.

for reference in another game this week Matheison and Mitch Robinson were best on ground for the Buffaloes.

How angry will blitz be if a club takes a chance on Munny and he becomes a gun?

I feel like we didnt give him much of a chance gone after 1 season. would have kept him for another year

Nobody will take a chance he won’t become a gun. Talented indigenous players getting the chop and getting forgotten about is a tale as old as the sun rising

It was discussed above amongst those who have watched games in NT. It is hard to compare, given the hot weather and the different levels of fitness. But what I saw when I was up in Darwin for three months in 2009, was that the skill levels were high, kicking and marking and evasive skills were in the same levels or better than VFL, but there was little pressure on the bloke with the ball and the pace of the game was slower. I would expect blokes like Matheison and Robinson to do well with their fitness and hard bodies, but would play the game harder than locals probably.

Highly entertaining and the games I saw were very competitive.
