#45 Anthony “Munny” Munkara

I prefer his 4 goal haul against Fark Carlton with one kicked from the fence which sank Carlton

Reimers had a great game that night as well.

Remiers loved playing Fark Carlton

Reimers and Andy Lovett always tormented them

Andrew Welsh tagging Judd and making him completly useless was always fun

To be fair disco was only 17 odd years into his career at that point. Surely he’s allowed a few rookie errors

This is an odd story, didn’t he go on to play VFL for us then get traded to North Melbourne. Not bad for someone who didn’t want to play football?

IIRC he didn’t play in his draft year because he had enough of footy and didn’t want to play AFL. Then had a late change of heart and nominated for the draft

He was a very very good footballer. Reckon he must be out of jail by now.

Not quite I don’t think. Changed his mind, came back and played a year and got drafted

To be fair he was probably just excited he could still kick 40m

Good for him… Did we resolve exactly what happened to Munny: was it him who left because he wanted to go back up north, or did we give him the flick?

Either way seems a shame. As a Cat B, I thought there was improvement as the year went on, and some glimpses of x-factor.

That is only about half an hour down the road, l might get along to one of his games, or wait until he comes to play here.

sounded like we gave him the flick.
no doubt lots of things were weighed into the decision, as his footy improved quite a bit from early season couldn’t get near it, and end of season was regularly kicking goals.
But we also cut the VFL best and fairest winner, so list decision weren’t all about on field results / performance.

If he missed that goal, we don’t advance, don’t make the pre season final, don’t go into 2011 with the hype train in overdrive and perhaps don’t misjudge our position at the end of the year and plan a different 2012 pre-season…

Signed for Warragul? If you had’ve told me that 6 months ago I’d have fainted.

Lol, If he signed for Warragul of all places, can we stop pretending that he wanted to go home?

Club moved him on. For whatever reason(s). It seems he wants to stay in the picture though.
