All that Essendon money was good for something I guess coz there ain’t no way Tyrone are paying for that business venture.
Australian style coffee shops, or more specifically, Melbourne style coffee shops are huge in the UK and Ireland so if he’s picked up anything from his time in Australia let’s hope it’s the knowledge on how to make a decent Espresso.
To be honest, Australian mastery of coffee making is unrivalled anywhere in the world so if you can knock up a decent cafe vibe with som nice smashed avo on toast, some hipsters behind the counter, cyclist friendly bike racks, water bowls for designer dogs, some hip indie music on the sound system and a gender neutral waitress (thats an oxymoron) then not only will you make a stack of cash, you are genuinely an utter ■■■■ jockey.
After 2 months in the UK & Ireland in 2018 and finding only 1 decent drinkable coffee (from a mobile van) and virtually no cafes as we know them I reckon he’s on a huge winner if he can deliver.
(I’d definitely go there )
Butter Bean Cafe in Richmond (West London area) is a cracker. Actually run by a couple of Kiwis. Starbucks across the road, empty, Butter Bean, queues of people standing in the rain for a bloody smashed avo
or Coco di Mama in Queens Head Passage behind St Pauls. Unlike Butter Bean, it is usually quiet. All the local bond traders flock to Starbucks. Risk averse apparently.
