hmmm. While I do very much like watching the lad play, you just have to wonder whether he wouldn’t be better off with one of the clubs with brighter immediate prospects. Particularly one that might protect him from media bullshit more than we managed.

We don’t have any special rights over him, so I expect that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

We lost McKenna as he was entering the prime of his career. It would be an important addition to have a senior player come into the club without giving much up for him.
Edit: he’d need to enter the draft, id imagine.
But I’m sure we have offered him an open cheque book to return
he still qualifies as a delisted free agent
We’d be offering him a contract he couldn’t refuse.
It just makes sense, considering we don’t need to trade for him.
