People have short memories.
Coronavirus infiltrated our forward line group for several years forcing us to play Alwyn Davey as our key position forward.

He’s a goof and a good one at that. He also just loves footy and provides a lot of quirky commentary, i find him really enjoyable.
He is probably one of few i don’t cringe listening to.
Worst case we get the Carlton game deferred . There’s not going to be top ups etc.
We can play Collingwood after 14 days.
Looks like the return of the top up players.
Mark Jamar come on down.
If the whole team has to go into iso then surely the onus is on the AFL to sort out a solution.
So why not lay off until you get the actual facts? Bad form kicking McKenna while he’s down. Everybody is frustrated.
There was a story early on about an older guy who died from covid despite only leaving his house twice to go to the supermarket in the preceding weeks. He had stockpiled sanitiser, masks, was following hygiene advice but got it anyway. So you can minimise risk but its not totally avoidable unless you never leave the house.
Even if you never leave the house your reliant on other people bringing stuff to your house.
Lol wait till Tuesday please! We might only have 1 case.
Best case is still we vs Carlton on Sat with a proper team.
Will they make us play if it’s 8 players that we’ve got out? That weight session indoors seems to be the main concern. And that was most of our core backline.
If it’s our backline that has to isolate, and we don’t have to play Carlton, at least the rest of the players will still be able to train during that break.
If the whole team has to isolate, geez, that’s going to be tough.
Potential for Carlton and Pies to get a % boost.
fck that rather forfeit games then witness 2016 again
When people go heavy on the IFs… they’re just like Damian Barrett.
The close contact players have been told they have to isolate for 2 weeks regardless. It’s just been reported.
From what the CMO said, the negative tests won’t mean anything for the close contacts. The close contacts still need to isolate for 14 days.
Unless I read that incorrectly?
it wouldn’t be like me to say what i feel, would it
In reality with the vic numbers now and other states labeling metro melb, geelong as covid hotspots requiring quarantine on arrival. The season will have to pause anyway at the end of this block of games because no other state than nsw will allow vic teams to enter and play without 14 day quarantine.
Apart from the gym session I wonder if “close contacts” will include any players he contacted when tackling on Friday?
We’re better off if it’s the whole team because then there is no way we can field a team and we force the AFL’s hand. if it’s only our backline then they can still insist we play with a very depleted team.

That’s why i like you. But this is a situation that’s a little too serious for speculation. We can read that ■■■■ all over facebook if we want.
