The funny thing about everyone saying but didn’t waterman kick four and look how that played out.
Guess what waterman played three times the amount of games as Baldwin has.

Given Cox’s situation I wonder if we might have 2 spot available.

oh good one, and he’s like 192cm

yes but slightly better built…97 kg more of a key defender when drafted but kicked 4 on debut and the rest is history.

Go all in.
Retire Goldstein, LTI Cox and Menzie (may have to arrange an accident!).

Then have 4 list vacancies.:+1:

Waterman was a good handy player and we got a few good games outta him, his only issue was he lacked endurance due to his m.e/cfs episode before coming back into the afl. It wasn’t his fault, but it didn’t allow him to match the defensive pressure of the modern game (especially with stringer in the same f50). Otherwise he was a good player and worth a look at.

I watched more highlights of Edwards last night, there are heaps online. He basically does the exact same thing in all those games as he did the other day. Whoever said he’s another Bailey fritsch that’s a great comparison, older age recruit from the state leagues, looks unfashionable as all hell, but just a crafty footballer that knows where the goals are. Tory Dixon, Mitch Morton, Fritsch, these guys can kick you 4 goals in a grand final then disappear into the abyss as a g.f hero.

Two things I learnt after watching that clip

  1. Sign him up!!! …probably the Tom Hird we never got to see
  2. The WAFL side forward 50 entries put us to shame

Goodness, just imagine what would be happening if Tom Hird had been the player who put in that performance.

We wouldn’t hear the end of it, and I’d be here enjoying every moment.

Edwards bought himself a spot on an AFL list with 2 quarters of footy. Fair effort. Deserves to be rewarded.

he just needs a couple of good years…then he can go back to WA as part of the Harly Reid deal

Steve Copping was no kid when we recruitd him, and he went okay as a small/medium forward… just sayin’.

I agree with everything you have said there

Those first three clips are super impressive, he loves a big quarter where he will kick four in a quarter.
He reminds me a bit of a taller Jamie Elliot can take a hanger and slots them from any angle.
If we pick him up his nickname has to be Threadward coz he dobs them from any angle
